My iPad is a second monitor!

I can't believe how well Duet Pro works! I use my iPad as a second monitor for my PC now, and it's amazing. The drawing tablet mode with pressure sensitivity for my stylus is a game changer for my art projects. It was super easy to set up. I'm definitely going to keep using this and tell everyone I know about it!

Good value, some lag

I purchased Duet Air to use my iPhone as a second screen for my Mac. The setup was straightforward, and it generally works well for extending my display. The picture quality is quite good. However, I did notice some occasional lag when using it wirelessly, especially during video playback. Wired connectivity improved this significantly. Customer support was responsive when I had a question about my subscription, which was a plus. Overall, it's a decent solution for the price, but wireless performance could be smoother.

Solid performance for work and art

I've been using Duet Pro for about a month now, primarily to turn my iPad Pro into a drawing tablet for my Windows PC. The ordering process on their website was smooth, and I received my confirmation email instantly. Installation on both devices was simple, just download the apps and follow the prompts. The pressure sensitivity for my Apple Pencil works flawlessly, which is crucial for my digital art. I also appreciate the palm rejection feature; it makes drawing much more comfortable. I tried the remote desktop access a couple of times; it was stable but not something I use daily. The extended display mode with pixel-perfect rendering is great for having extra space when I'm coding. I did have a small question about multi-touch gestures, and their support team responded within a few hours. It's a reliable tool that has genuinely enhanced my workflow, both for productivity and creative tasks.

Decent for extending my screen

So I tried Duet Display out because I needed another monitor for my laptop, and I have an old iPad just sitting around. It works pretty well for extending the display. I got the Duet Starter plan. The wireless connection was a little laggy sometimes, but if I used the cable, it was fine. It's nice to have the extra screen space for my work.

Is there usually a Black Friday sale for Duet Display? Hoping to grab it then if there's a good discount.

E Elizabeth Anderson 2 weeks ago
Yeah, they usually have pretty solid Black Friday deals. I got my Pro subscription last year then, saved a good chunk of change.

They almost always do. I think it's one of their main discount periods along with Cyber Monday. Keep an eye out around then, you'll probably see 25-50% off the annual plans.

Anyone know if Duet Display works well with Android tablets? Got a Samsung Tab S7 and wanna use it as a second screen for my PC.

H Hannah Scott 3 weeks ago
Yup, works with Android. I use it with my old Galaxy Tab A sometimes, and it's totally functional. Not quite as polished as the iPad experience, but it gets the job done for a second monitor.

Yeah, it does. I use it with my Pixel Slate. Just download the app from the Play Store. No issues so far.

Hey, I'm thinking about getting Duet Display for my work setup. Does it really work well wirelessly? Like, will it be laggy when I'm using my iPad as a second monitor for coding?

B Ben 4 weeks ago
I use it wirelessly with my iPad Pro for general browsing and it's pretty smooth for me. Haven't tried coding on it, but for most stuff, it's totally fine. You might notice a tiny bit of latency if you're really looking for it, but not enough to be annoying.

Nah, for coding you might want to stick with wired if you have critical work. I found even small delays over Wi-Fi were annoying when I needed precision. It works, but wired is definitely better for anything serious.

What's the main difference between Duet Air and Duet Pro? Trying to figure out which one I need.

K Kevin A. 1 month ago
Air is basically just for using your iPad as a second screen, pretty straightforward. Pro adds all the drawing tablet stuff, like pressure sensitivity for Apple Pencil, and remote desktop access. If you're an artist or need to access your desktop from anywhere, go Pro.

If you just need an extra monitor, Air is good enough. Pro is for the fancy stuff like drawing or if you need to use it like TeamViewer. Check their site, they have a comparison chart somewhere.
